Saturday Market has been around in Beverley since the 12th century; it is older than St Mary’s Church. Take a look at this ancient institution as it looked in the mid-20th century and you’ll see it was remarkably similar to how it looks today. With the exception of slight changes in fashion and transport, Saturday market has remained one of the great constants of the town of Beverley.
