The Goodwin Story – How One Community Reinvented Itself
In 1994, 14 residents of the Thornton Estate in the heart of Hull decided to band together and tackle the social problems that plagued their community. Through a blend of hard graft, hope, help, goodwill, compassion and enterprise they changed their community for the better and for good.
Those 14 determined and committed people became the Goodwin Development Trust – a dynamic business employing 230 people delivering 24 different services throughout Hull and beyond.
